Saucony Progrid Omni 9: a new archive model at Noble Store
The Saucony Progrid Omni 9 is here. The model joins the other archive runners in our Saucony collection and immediately brings two colorways that are almost polar opposites. The Omni 9 dates back to Saucony's early 2000s range: a solidly constructed runner built around ProGrid cushioning, with a layered upper, a grey and cream-white midsole and a silhouette that clearly exudes its performance heritage. Not the most subtle shoe in the range, but certainly one of the most distinctive.

Torte / Dazzle: the bolder of the two
The Saucony Progrid Omni 9 Torte / Dazzle is the most striking colorway the Omni 9 currently wears. Torte is a dark brown, almost chocolate mesh that serves as the base for a shoe that then goes in multiple directions. The blue side stripes are the first thing that catches the eye: an electric blue that runs along the entire side and immediately brings dynamism to the colorway. Terracotta accents on the heel and tongue warm the whole thing up. Silver-colored Saucony branding and the "Omni 9" badge on the side finish the shoe technically.
What makes the Torte / Dazzle interesting is the combination of warm and cool tones on one shoe. The dark brown and terracotta are earthy and seasonal, the blue is fresh and unexpected. That tension makes the shoe an archive runner that makes a stronger impression on the street than its 2000s heritage might suggest. It works particularly well with dark outfits: the terracotta and blue then come into their own even more.

Eggshell / Touch: the softer register of the Omni 9
The Saucony Progrid Omni 9 Eggshell / Touch consciously chooses the other extreme. A cream-white mesh upper as a base, complemented by pink and light pink overlays in different shades. On the side is a muted mauve, on the midsole the shade shifts to a softer pink. The distressed, slightly yellowish cream sole emphasizes the archive feel of the model and gives the shoe the vintage look you can expect from a standout archive model.
The black trim detailing on the tongue edge and the collar keep the shoe grounded. Without that detailing, the Eggshell / Touch would have run the risk of looking too light and too playful for a shoe with the construction history of the Omni 9. Now it balances well: more romantic than you would expect from a ProGrid runner, but just as strong in presence. A colorway that works particularly well for those who want to wear the Omni 9 without the heavy color palette of the Torte / Dazzle.
Two colorways, one model, no wrong choice
The Saucony Progrid Omni 9 is an addition to the archive Saucony line we already carry. Alongside the Progrid Guide 7 and the Progrid Triumph 4 Lush, the Omni 9 now stands as the third pillar in our Saucony ProGrid collection. Each model has its own silhouette and its own character, but the shared ProGrid cushioning and the layered construction approach give the three a clear family resemblance.
Both Omni 9 colorways are now available at Noble Store in Bree and via the webshop. Not sure which one suits you best? The Torte / Dazzle is the better choice if you like contrast and color on your feet. The Eggshell / Touch is the right model if you want something softer and more versatile, but do not want to compromise on character.
